This may seem odd, but since my mind can be somewhat mathematical in organization, one of my first thoughts was to look for a pattern in their placements (visually). Example, looked from top row and bottom row: the top row is primarily top looking down, the bottom row is primarily sideways; but the second column from the left both are different. There was nothing discernable to me in obvious organization.
But the pictures really work well together. It seems that there was something primarily instinctual about the way the piece comes together as whole, and you composed the work capably.
